In 1932 the race car Bugatti 51 was presented as the successor of the successful race car Bugatti 35. Built in Molsheim in France until 1935. The car was equipped with a 2.3 liter engine that delivered 170 HP. A total of 31 cars of this type were built.

The (Y11-4) 1932 Bugatti Type 51 was introduced in 1986.

Livery: (Tampo)
Racing number '4' in black on white disc on both sides of tail and on drivers side of bonnet.

Variations/Rarities: It was of course painted French blue all over.
It had a dull aluminium shade radiator grille and wheels and a dull silver dashboard, steering wheel and arm, brake lever and rods and the underneath featured a dull silver exhaust system and front suspension.
It also had a small clear plastic windscreen and brown seats.
The first variation was a 6mm brace beside the dashboard but the second variation with a 12mm brace is far more common.
The rear axle had a lot of sideways movement so at the same time as the dashboard brace was modified the spacers behind the rear wheels were increased in length by 1mm on each side.
